What is reflexology?
Therapeutic foot reflexology is a hands-on practice that works through reflex zones on the feet. These zones are associated with different bodily systems and functions. Through precise and respectful touch, a session aims to encourage relaxation, circulation and the body’s natural self-regulating capacity.
It may support periods of stress, fatigue or imbalance, or simply offer a moment to slow down, breathe and reconnect with yourself. Reflexology does not replace medical care; it can be a complementary support within a broader wellbeing journey.
When it may help
Without ever replacing medical care, reflexology may be considered for:
A session with Silvia
The appointment lasts about an hour. It starts with a short conversation and unfolds in a quiet space, at your own rhythm.
A moment to share what you are going through, what you would like from the session, your general health and anything specific to flag.
You stay dressed — only the feet are uncovered. You lie down in a position that supports your back, neck and legs.
Precise touch on the reflex zones of the feet. Depending on what is needed, work on the hands, on complementary body zones or trigger points may be offered.
A few minutes to settle, then a short conversation. Simple aftercare suggestions: hydration, listening to your body and the rhythm of any next sessions.

About Silvia
I began my professional life in finance. Alongside that career, I discovered reflexology — an approach that helped me manage stress much better. Curious and passionate by nature, I undertook reflexology training and practised for several years in Lausanne.
After moving to Zurich in 2001, I worked in human resources while continuing my training and practising reflexology within my family circle. Over time, personal introspection, meditation, spirituality and a deeper reconnection to the body brought me back to my original passion for care.
Since 2023, I have resumed my therapeutic path with an approach enriched by life experience, listening and close attention to each person’s needs and sensitivity.
First reflexology training in 1997 · ongoing training at École Bayly, Tal Spassou and École Gédane (Lausanne).
An old tradition
Work through reflex zones has roots in very old traditions found across different cultures. In the twentieth century, this knowledge evolved into more structured approaches, with foot maps and an increasingly formalised practice within complementary wellbeing settings. Today, reflexology remains above all an art of touch, listening and whole-body attention.
Complementary work
Trigger point work focuses on sensitive or contracted muscular points. It can help release localised tension, restore ease of movement and complement reflexology when a specific physical discomfort calls for more targeted attention.
Frequently asked questions
A few answers so you arrive relaxed and well-informed.
The touch is precise but respectful and adapted to your sensitivity. Some reflex zones may feel more tender, often a sign of tension or imbalance; pressure is always adjusted. The session remains, above all, a moment of relaxation.
You stay clothed throughout the session — only the feet are uncovered. The seated massage is also performed fully clothed, on an ergonomic chair.
It depends on the issue, the therapeutic goal and the person. In general, it is recommended to begin with three consecutive sessions, one per week, to establish a real therapeutic effect.
Please mention any pregnancy, medical follow-up, ongoing treatment or particular situation before the session. Reflexology never replaces medical advice or treatment: it complements it, within a broader wellbeing approach.
Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours in advance are charged. Please let me know as soon as you can if something comes up — a new appointment is always welcome.
Sessions are paid in cash at the end of the appointment. The three-session pack benefits from the announced rate.
